  • Fun Ideas for those Bad Weather Days

Inclement weather is no fun, especially when you have a house full of bored kids. You’re all stuck in a small space and there just doesn’t seem to be enough room for everyone no matter how big your house is. The kids are getting noisy, the mum is getting upset, and before you know it, everyone’s in a rotten mood - it’s a common scenario. It doesn't have to be as awful as it sounds though. Here are a few ideas for some budget friendly indoor activities you and the children can enjoy the next time you're stuck in the house.

  • Working Mum Guilt

Do you have feelings of guilt about being a working mum?

A while ago, it wasn’t at all uncommon for a mum to stay at home with the children. As times have changed, so has the traditional family. More and more families are finding themselves with two working parents.

The problem with this is that mothers are somewhat “programmed” to be mothers, and many have a very hard time dealing with life away from the little ones.

  • Finding Patience!

The phone is ringing from under the sofa, a toddler has removed his nappy, the dog is barking at the postman, your husband can’t find his socks, and you just slipped in a puddle of something you don’t want to think about. Does that sound familiar? If you find yourself wanting to hide in the cupboard from everyone now and then, you’re not alone. Many mums feel that way.

  • When the unthinkable happens .... a salute to those Mothers who grieve

Sometimes, being a parent is so very hard. We all have really rough days with our babies, toddlers, kids and teenagers. I certainly have days when I just want to hide under the duvet or simply sit in the corner and cry. We have all been there. It’s tough.  We love our kids more than anything else in the world - to lose one of them is surely the most awful pain a parent can bear.
